EcoSys Financial Manager is entirely web-based. This architecture eliminates the need for client-side installations, and upgrades are centralized and easy to deploy.

The EcoSys FM web front-end uses only DHTML, and does not require any plug-ins. It is developed with leading-edge AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) technology, providing a dynamic and high-performance user experience.

EcoSys FM has been architected with performance and enterprise scalability as key elements of its design:

• FM runs on Oracle and SQL Server database platforms
• The FM middle-tier runs on industry-leading application server technologies: IBM Websphere, BEA Weblogic, and Apache Tomcat
• No Java applets or plug-ins are downloaded to the end-user, eliminating the slow behaviour found with most traditional web applications
• Strategic server-side caching speeds up access to common data

The EcoSys FM internal data model has been designed to be automatable and accessible programmatically using industry standard methods such as in a SOA (Services Oriented Architecture).

Interface architecture
EcoSys FM Connector modules interface with external systems using their native access methods (Java API, XML, SQL, flat files, etc). The Import Rule Engine processes data from Connectors, enforcing business rules and data integrity.

For Primavera Enterprise users, EcoSys FM provides a fully integrated interface and flexible mapping, utilizing the Primavera API.
